Do my vegan followers eat oysters?

I read a study the other day that because oysters don’t have a central brain or pain receptors that they are not considered animals and don’t feel any pain and that some vegans allow themselves to indulge in the food. I am quite interested if anyone else has read this and what their thoughts are?

  2. lemongrabxvx said: i have heard that before, but in my opinion they are still animals.. and i have always hated seafood so i would never eat them…
  3. pwincessie said: considering how collecting oysters affects the environment, anyone that does doesn’t have the right to call themselves vegan. plus, oysters are still animals :/

  5. cherryrape said: I dont but purely because I dont like the taste. I have never really considered them not an animal so I havent thought about it in that way. It is interesting though!
