Veg - Whatever you like! I used for example: Bens, Broccoli, Carrot, Corn, Capsicum.
Tofu - Fried
Onion & Garlic
Either store bought sauce or home made (using thick soy sauce, a tiny bit of water and some fried off garlic for taste)
Prepare all veg
Put roughly 1.5 cups of rice onto cook
Fry off the onion and garlic in a hot wok until golden brown
Add the carrot, capsicum, broccoli and any other ‘hard’ veg that you have, toss until roughly half cooked
Add the rest of your veg and continue tossing through the wok
Add the tofu
Once tofu is warmed and vegetables have been cooked add your sauce
(If making the sauce from scratch here’s the recipe, if not continue to step 9) In a small saucepan fry off some garlic, possibly onion if you like. Once golden brown add your thick soy sauce and a touch of water to get the right consistency, bring to the boil, season to taste then set aside to cool.
Mix veg and Tofu through the sauce until sufficiently covered.
